What I Wore: Layering Collars

Hi Everyone! It's been a couple weeks since I posted an outfit. School has been very time consuming as always. But I'm finishing up this semester strong!

Anyways I wanted to share with you guys this outfit I wore right before Thanksgiving. If you don't know collars are trending right now. A great way to incorporate this trend is by layering collars with sweaters. Layering is my all time favorite thing to do for the fall and winter.

For layering collars it is good to play with different textures. You can opt for a chunky sweater and layer it with a cotton collared or silk collard top. For this particular outfit I chose to pair a sleeveless chiffon collars top under a my distressed tan sweater. The difference between the textures creates a nice contrast. Fall and winter is such a great time to play with textures. I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a plain black jegging and black combat boots.

I accessorized by adding a chain collar necklace. This has been one of my favorite accessories this season. I encourage everyone to go out and play with layering and mixing textures. Let me know what you think of this outfit and show me how you choose to layer and incorporate collars in your wardrobe.

  1. You're outfit is so cute (as usual)! I'm pretty obsessed with collars right now, particularly the Peter Pan style. :)

    1. Thanks! Omg yess I'm loving collars as well. The fact that they're so easy to layer and add a touch of trendiness to any look is so great. Thanks for the feedback :)

  2. This is pretty much my daily uniform! I love it, you get a nice shirt look plus the coziness of a pullover. I'll have to try adding in a collar necklace as well.
